The Process — Tallgrass Creative

Getting your website live is simpler than you think.

I've streamlined the process so you know exactly what to expect. From your first message to your site going live, everything stays transparent and straightforward.

The key to local search visibility is having matching information across your website and Google Business Profile. Your website's categories, services, and content work together with your Google listing to build trust signals that search engines recognize. When these align, your business shows up more often and more prominently in local results.

The Process

Domain Setup

You register your domain (or transfer an existing one) and point it to my hosting nameservers. This typically takes anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours to propagate.
Info Gathering

You share your business details, services, photos, and any design preferences. Tell me what you like or dislike. I ask clarifying questions to ensure we create exactly what you need.
Content & Design

I create your website structure and design based on your input. I include categories and services that match your Google Business Profile to strengthen your local SEO signals.
Review & Approve

You review your website on a staging server. Request changes, ask questions, or approve as-is. I make edits until you're satisfied.
Launch & Go Live

Your site moves from staging to the live hosting environment. DNS propagation completes and your website becomes accessible to customers.
Ongoing Support

You can send updates whenever you need them—text edits, photo swaps, service changes. I handle the technical side so your site stays current.

Timeline

Most websites launch within 7 to 14 days after receiving all necessary information.

Timing depends on how quickly information is provided and how many revision rounds are needed.

What I Need From You

  Business Information

Business name, address, phone number, email, and hours of operation. This information needs to match your Google Business Profile exactly for best local SEO results.

  Services & Categories

A list of the services you offer and any categories that describe your business. I'll match these to your Google Business Profile to ensure consistency across platforms.

  Photos & Logos

Your logo (if you have one), product/service photos, and team pictures. High-resolution images work best. I'll optimize them for web performance.

  Design Preferences

Any colors you want to use, examples of websites you like, and ideas about what features are most important. There's no wrong answer—I adapt to your style.

  Google Business Profile

A link to your Google Business Profile. I review your categories and services to ensure your website content aligns with what Google already knows about your business.
